May Allah ﷻ bless you. Umm Basem from Abha.
Go ahead, Sister Umm Basem.
Umm Basem, turn the TV down a little, may Allah ﷻ keep you well.
Go ahead, go ahead. Go ahead, Umm Basem.
Hello? Yes?
Peace be upon you.
And peace be upon you.
May I speak to the sheikh?
Go ahead, but speak a little louder.
I have prayers to make up.
Yes, you do.
Prayers to make up.
Yes. I mean, I don't know how to make them up now.
Yes, missed prayers.
Yes. Yes.
Should I do one with each prayer, or all together? I don't know.
Your Eminence, Sheikh Salih, Umm Basem says she has missed prayers.
Should she make them up with each prayer, or do them all in succession?
Yes, she must hasten to make up the missed prayers immediately.
In order: the first day's five prayers, then the second day's, and so on.
Until she's finished them.
She should not wait for prayer times, as some laypeople think.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"If you forget a prayer or oversleep it, pray it when you remember or wake."
"There is no expiation for it but that."
Missed prayers must be made up at once, in order.
If there are many and she spaces them out as much as she can, there is no harm.
But whenever she can, she must hasten to make them up.
She must clear that debt. This is obligatory upon her. Yes.
