Abandoning the Sunnah Is Ingratitude for Blessings

"Hold fast to my Sunnah."

"And the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs after me."

"Cling to it and bite down on it with your molars."

"And beware of newly introduced matters."

Every new matter is an innovation.

"And every innovation is misguidance."

Part of ingratitude for this blessing is that we stop holding fast to it.

And introduce innovations into the religion.

Such are innovations in religion for which Allah ﷻ sent down no authority.

This comes through the prompting of human and jinn devils and false guides.

So we must be alert to this.

And show thanks for this blessing by holding fast to it.

Study it and keep remembering it, for Allah ﷻ has informed us.

about the former nations who denied Allah ﷻ's favors and what befell them.

Allah ﷻ says: "O Children of Israel, remember My favor bestowed upon you."

"And fulfill My covenant; I will fulfill yours, and fear Me alone."

He reminds them of His blessing upon them.

Remember My favor bestowed on you, and that I favored you above all people.

He favored them by sending messengers and sent down the Torah and Gospel.

This is a great blessing.

But when they were ungrateful for it and changed, Allah changed their state.

Indeed, Allah would never change a favor He bestowed on a people

"until they change what is within themselves."

So when people deny blessings and fail to give thanks for them.

Allah changes their state and strips them of these blessings.
