Guidelines for dealing with modern social media.

There is no doubt that modern media have diversified.

They have developed and are a double-edged sword.

Whoever uses them for good benefits from them.

Whoever uses them for evil is harmed and harms others.

They are a double-edged sword. Who distinguishes the good from bad?

That requires referring back to scholars.

We must not engage with these media without fiqh and knowledge.

So we take what is sound and leave what harms, for they contain much deceit.

There is defamation and abuse of Muslims in the name of zeal.

And in the name of forbidding what is wrong.

So whoever has knowledge and insight must take what benefits.

And leave what harms.

Whoever lacks insight should avoid them and stay away.

Prefer safety over gain. Yes.
