The Ninth and Final Lesson

A concluding lesson by Sheikh Sulayman ar-Ruhaily opening with praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and prayers of peace and blessings.
In Allah's name, Lord of the worlds.
May the most perfect prayers and peace be upon him, a mercy to the worlds.
And upon his family and all his Companions.
Now then, brothers and sisters.
This is the final session of this course.
For it, I ask Allah ﷻ.
To reward its speaker.
Its attendees, organizer, and transmitter.
And everyone who did any good for it.
And I greatly appreciate the attendance of brothers and sisters.
Despite their eagerness, even though the course is on workdays.
One brother even told me he comes straight to the course from work.
And this is something that gladdens the mind and heart.
As long as the Ummah has people with this resolve.
Then we hope for abundant good for the land and the people.
We conclude the sessions.
The third matter in this course was one we wanted to discuss.
It was the Prophet ﷺ with his Companions.
The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, men and women.
Allah selected them and chose them from among His servants.
Ibn Masud (RA) said.
Allah looked into the hearts of His servants.
and found Muhammad ﷺ's heart the best of His servants' hearts.
So He chose him for Himself and sent him with His message.
Then, after Muhammad ﷺ's heart, He looked into His servants' hearts.
and found his Companions' hearts the best of His servants' hearts.
So He made them helpers of His Prophet, fighting for His religion.
Reported by Imam Ahmad with a good chain.
The Prophet ﷺ with his Companions.
as his Lord ﷻ described him, saying.
"Those who follow the Messenger," the unlettered Prophet."
"whom they find written with them in the Torah and the Gospel."
"He enjoins on them what is right and forbids them what is wrong."
"He makes lawful for them the good and forbids them the foul."
"and relieves them of their burden and the shackles upon them."
So those who believe in him honor him, aid him, and follow the light.
"that was sent down with him— they are the successful."
The Prophet ﷺ with his Companions.
as his Lord ﷻ described him, saying.
"Allah has surely favored the believers" by sending them a Messenger of their own."
"Reciting to them His verses and purifying them.
and teaching them the Book and wisdom.
Though before that they were in clear error."
He is our Prophet ﷺ.
His Lord described him with these qualities.
And he was indeed like that with his Companions (RA).
He brought ease and the religion of ease.
The Prophet ﷺ did not like hardship for his Companions.
And he loved ease for them. He ﷺ said:
"By the One in Whose hand is my soul, were it not for burdening the Muslims
I would not stay behind any expedition." He ﷺ said:
"Were it not for burdening my Ummah, I'd order the siwak at every prayer."
He ﷺ loved ease for his Companions.
He ﷺ feared hardship for them.
The Prophet ﷺ with his Companions, as his Lord ﷻ described him, saying:
"Surely, a Messenger has come to you from yourselves; your hardship pains him.
He is concerned for you; to believers, kind and merciful."
The Messenger ﷺ treated his Companions with the finest character.
and the noblest character, as his Lord ﷻ described him, saying:
"And indeed, you are of great moral character."
And among that great character was a trait.
which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ embodied.
always; and His Lord ﷻ described him with it as a favor, saying.
Mercy made you gentle; harshness repels. Pardon, seek pardon, consult; trust Allah.
So, by mercy.
from Allah to the Prophet ﷺ.
and to the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ.
and to the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ.
Because the Prophet ﷺ was the gentlest of people toward his Companions.
And he was the softest and most merciful of people ﷺ.
He was not harsh, nor hard-hearted.
The harsh, hard-hearted person people don't gather or come to him.
The harsh, hard-hearted person people turn away from him.
The harsh, hard-hearted person is not one people love to be near.
And to his Companions, the Prophet ﷺ was dearest of all.
They most loved being near him ﷺ.
because he was never harsh with them.
nor was he hard-hearted ﷺ.
He forgave what his Companions did especially when it concerned him.
and sought forgiveness for them for their failings toward Allah ﷻ.
Likewise, a believer should forgive his companions' slips against him.
and he should seek forgiveness for them for their sins.
He does not call them to account.
Rather, he accepts whatever good and decency are possible.
and often pardons and often supplicates.
And the Prophet ﷺ would consult his Companions.
and he ﷺ consulted his Companions a great deal.
Consultation brings hearts near and lights the paths.
Consultation makes companions' hearts draw near.
And in consultation is much good.
Abu Hurayrah (RA) said.
I saw no one consult his Companions more than the Prophet ﷺ.
Reported by Ibn Hibban, and authenticated by al-Albani.
So the Prophet ﷺ often consulted his Companions (RA).
He ﷺ taught his Companions in the best manner.
with the gentlest teaching, the noblest and finest style.
Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet ﷺ said to me on the morning of al-'Aqabah.
while he was on his mount, "Pick up some pebbles for me."
He said: I picked up for him small pebbles used for throwing.
When I placed them in his hand, he said.
"Use pebbles like these, and beware of excess in religion."
"Those before you were ruined by excess in religion."
Reported by al-Nasa'i and authenticated by al-Albani.
So the Prophet ﷺ taught him moderation.
And the Prophet ﷺ taught them to keep away from excess.
Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported.
He said: The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not fast continuously."
They said, "But you fast continuously." He said, "I am not like you."
"I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me drink."
Since they would not stop, the Prophet ﷺ fasted with them 2 days or 2 nights.
Then they saw the crescent, and the Prophet ﷺ said.
"Had the crescent been delayed, I'd have added more to discipline you."
Narrated by al-Bukhari in the Sahih. Some scholars said.
By fasting with them, the Prophet ﷺ meant them to feel its hardship.
And to teach them that good lies in what he ﷺ commanded them.
Aisha (RA) said: The Prophet ﷺ did something as a concession.
But some people refrained from it; leaving it out of scrupulousness.
When that reached the Prophet ﷺ, he praised Allah ﷻ and extolled Him.
Then he said, "Why do some people refrain from something I do?"
"By Allah, I know Allah better than they do and fear Him most."
Reported in Sahih al-Bukhari.
Whatever the Prophet ﷺ did, a Muslim should not forgo it as piety.
For the Prophet ﷺ feared Allah most, and taught his Companions likewise.
Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrated from the Prophet ﷺ: "Religion is easy."
“No one makes the religion hard except that it overwhelms him.”
“So be upright, draw near, and receive glad tidings.”
“Seek help in the morning, afternoon, and part of the night.”
Narrated by al-Bukhari. Aisha RA said.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would tell them to do only what they could.
They said: We are not like you, O Messenger of Allah.
Allah has forgiven your past and future sins.
Then he would grow angry until anger was seen on his face.
Then he would say, “I am the most God-fearing and know Allah best.”
Narrated by al-Bukhari in the Sahih. This is a Sunnah.
Some scholars said its etiquette is this.
A person should not burden companions beyond what they can bear in worldly life.
He accepts from them what they can bear.
And does not burden them with what they cannot bear.
Anas ibn Malik (RA) said. Three men came.
To the homes of the Prophet ﷺ's wives, asking about his worship.
When they were told, they thought it was little.
They said. Where are we compared to the Prophet ﷺ?
Allah has forgiven his past and future sins.
They deemed it little in relation to themselves.
For they are sinners, held accountable.
Not in comparison to the Prophet ﷺ.
One of them said. As for me, I will always pray at night.
Pay attention, brothers. A righteous intent and good outward form.
A righteous intent and good outward form.
They wanted Allah's pleasure, and the outward deed was good.
Another said, 'I will fast forever and never break my fast.'
Another said, 'I will avoid women and never marry.'
Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to them and said:
“Are you the ones who said such and such?”
“By Allah, I fear Allah most and am most mindful of Him.”
“But I fast and break my fast, I pray and sleep, and marry women.”
“Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me.” Agreed upon.
The Prophet ﷺ taught them that in matters of worship.
Good intent and a good outward form are not enough.
Until worship conforms to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
The Prophet ﷺ taught this to those men.
And thus the Companions learned this.
And thus his Ummah learned this.
Abd al-Rahman ibn Shibl said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say.
"Recite the Quran, but do not go to excess in it, nor neglect it."
"Do not make a living by it, nor seek abundance through it."
Ahmad narrated it. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar: strong chain; al-Arna'ut authenticated it
And Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (RA) said.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a line for us: "This is Allah's path."
Then he drew lines to its right and left, then said.
"These are separate paths; on each is a devil calling to it."
Then he recited, "And this is My straight path, so follow it."
"Do not follow other ways, lest they separate you from His way."
Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Abi Asim.
Al-Albani said: It is sound due to other reports.
The Prophet ﷺ would teach his Companions often.
And usually, he would teach his Companions.
And the Prophet ﷺ would often teach the methodology.
He taught the method in worship, in conduct, and in dealings.
Likewise, a friend should be keen to teach his friend.
He should be keen to guide him, and keen for his heart's soundness.
He should care that his approach is sound.
If he sees him attached to someone he fears for him, he alerts and warns.
And if he sees him veering right or left in his methodology.
He guides him, advises him, and admonishes him like the Prophet ﷺ.
With his Companions, he taught them tawhid, and taught it often.
Mu'adh (RA) said: I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ.
on a donkey, and he said, "O Mu'adh.
Do you know Allah's right over His servants, and their right over Allah?"
I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."
He said, "Allah's right over His servants is that they worship Him.
And associate nothing with Him. And the servants' right over Allah.
is that He not punish anyone who associates nothing with Him."
He taught them what benefited them, even when they were young.
Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: One day, I was behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
He said: "Young man, I'll teach you some words.
Mind Allah; He will protect you. Mind Allah; you'll find Him before you.
If you ask, ask Allah.
And if you seek help, seek it from Allah, and know that..."
“If the whole Ummah gathered to benefit you with anything.
They would only benefit you with what Allah wrote for you.
And if they gathered to harm you with anything.
They would only harm you with what Allah wrote against you.
The pens have been lifted, and the pages have dried.”
Reported by Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi. Al-Albani authenticated it.
The Prophet ﷺ was keen to give his Companions sound, concise counsel.
It is reported from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As (RA).
That Muadh ibn Jabal (RA) intended to travel.
He said, “O Prophet of Allah, advise me.”
He said, “Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him.”
He said, “O Prophet of Allah, give me more.”
He said, “If you do wrong, then do good.”
He said, “O Messenger of Allah, give me more.”
He said: Be upright, and have good character.
Narrated by Ibn Hibban. Graded hasan by al-Albani.
This was often seen in the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
With his Companions, there was great gentleness in teaching.
Reported from Mu'awiyah ibn al-Hakam al-Sulami RA, who said.
While I was praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
a man among the people sneezed. So I said, "May Allah have mercy on you."
The people glared at me, so I said, "May my mother lose me!"
"Why are you looking at me?"
They began striking their hands on their thighs.
When I saw they were signaling me to be quiet, I fell silent.
When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished praying—this is the point.
May my father and mother be sacrificed for him. I had never seen.
anyone teach better before him or after him.
By Allah, he did not scold me.
He did not hit me or insult me. He only said.
This prayer allows no ordinary human speech.
It is only tasbih and takbir, and Qur'an recitation."
Narrated by Muslim in his Sahih. Anas ibn Malik said.
While we were in the mosque with Allah's Messenger ﷺ.
a Bedouin came and began urinating in the mosque.
The Prophet's Companions said, "Stop! Stop!"
But he ﷺ said, "Do not stop him. Leave him."
So they left him until he urinated.
Then Allah's Messenger ﷺ called him and addressed him.
"These mosques are not for urine or filth.
They are only for the remembrance of Allah ﷻ, prayer, and recitation."
the Quran—or as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said.
Then he ordered a man from them. He brought a pail of water.
He poured it over it. Recorded in Muslim's Sahih.
Thus the Prophet ﷺ taught his companions.
and was keen to teach them with elegance in teaching ﷺ.
The Prophet ﷺ would joke and banter with his companions.
without excess that removes reverence, and without lies.
The flaw in joking is excess until reverence is lost, or lying.
A believer should not have this trait.
So the Prophet ﷺ would joke and banter with his companions.
but without excess and without lies.
Abu Hurayrah RA reported.
They said, O Messenger of Allah, you joke with us.
He said, ‘I speak only the truth.’
Narrated by Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi. Authenticated by al-Albani.
Anas ibn Malik RA reported that
A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a mount.
That is, he asked him for a mount so he could go and fight.
He said, ‘I will give you a ride on the offspring of a she-camel.’
‘The offspring of a she-camel’ first suggests the young unridden one.
Yet all camels are born of she-camels.
So the Prophet ﷺ used truthful words.
But at first glance, this meaning is not understood. He joked with him.
He ﷺ said, “I will let you ride on a she-camel’s offspring.”
He said, “O Messenger of Allah!”
“What would I do with a camel calf? It can’t be ridden.”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Are camels born only from she-camels?”
“Are camels born only from she-camels?”
Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi. Sahih per al-Albani.
Anas RA narrated that a Bedouin named Zahir.
He would bring a gift from the desert to Allah's Messenger ﷺ.
Whenever he came from the desert, he brought dried yogurt and the like.
He said: Allah's Messenger ﷺ would equip him for the trip back.
The Prophet ﷺ would equip him.
"Zahir is our man of the desert, and we are his townsfolk."
Zahir is our desert man; he brings us gifts from the desert.
And we are his townsfolk; we equip him from Madinah.
The Prophet ﷺ loved him, and he was unattractive.
Then the Prophet ﷺ came to him one day while he was selling his goods.
He said: He came from the desert and went to the market.
Whenever he came to the Prophet ﷺ, he brought him a gift.
He came from the desert to the market, and the Prophet ﷺ found him there.
One day the Prophet ﷺ came to him while he was selling his goods.
He embraced him from behind, and the man could not see him.
The Prophet ﷺ grabbed him from behind as he turned, not seeing him.
Not seeing the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Let me go! Who is this?"
So the Prophet ﷺ let him go, and the man turned and knew him.
Once he knew him, he pressed his back against the Prophet’s chest.
He began leaning back, back against the Prophet's chest.
…ﷺ. Then the Prophet ﷺ began saying.
"Who will buy the slave? Who will buy the slave?"
He said, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, you'd find me unsellable."
Who would buy me? I'm ugly; no one would buy me."
The Prophet ﷺ said, "But with Allah, you are not unsellable."
Or he said, "With Allah, you are precious."
Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban. Authenticated by al-Albani.
See the Prophet's kindness. Though he was the Prophet ﷺ.
He came to the market and found this stranger from the desert.
He joked with him in the market before people, grabbing him from behind.
Then he joked even more and said, "Who will buy the slave?"
"Who will buy the slave?" Then he kindly said this elegant phrase.
But with Allah, you are not worthless. With Allah, you are precious.
Suhayb said, "I came to the Prophet ﷺ with bread and dates before him."
He said, "Come closer and eat." So I began eating the dates.
The Prophet ﷺ joked, "You eat dates with sore eyes?"
The Prophet ﷺ was joking with him. Sore eyes do not prevent eating dates.
But it was as if he had done something: "You eat dates with sore eyes?"
Suhayb (RA) understood and replied to the joke with another joke.
He said, "I chew from the other side."
"I chew from one side, not the sore side, but the other side."
So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled.
Narrated by Ibn Majah. Al-Albani graded it hasan.
And the Prophet ﷺ often smiled at his companions.
until each one thought he was dearest to him.
Abdullah ibn al-Harith said.
I never saw anyone smile more than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
Narrated by Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi. Authenticated by al-Albani.
Jarir (RA) said, "He never kept me out..."
The Prophet ﷺ never barred me since I became Muslim.
And whenever he saw me, he smiled at me.
Agreed upon. In Muslim's narration.
He said: Allah's Messenger ﷺ never kept me away since I became Muslim.
And whenever he saw me, he laughed.
Part of the Prophet's ﷺ etiquette with his Companions was that...
If he feared an act of his might affect their hearts, he explained himself.
Abdullah ibn Abbas narrated from al-Sa'b ibn Jaththamah.
He gave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a wild donkey.
While he was at al-Abwa' or Waddan, he returned it.
The Prophet ﷺ accepted gifts. But he returned this one.
When the Prophet ﷺ saw the look on his face after returning his gift.
"We only returned it to you, because we are in ihram." Agreed upon.
So he ﷺ explained his reason for not accepting his gift.
It was because he was in ihram and could not accept game.
Aishah RA narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out.
one night, in the middle of the night, and prayed in the mosque.
Then some men prayed with him. By morning, word spread, and more came.
On the second night, more prayed with him. By morning, word spread.
Then the people in the mosque increased on the third night.
So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, and they prayed behind him.
When it was the fourth night, the mosque could not hold them.
He ﷺ did not come out to them until he came for Fajr prayer.
When he finished Fajr, he faced the people after tashahhud and said.
Now then, I knew you were there.
But I feared it would be made obligatory for you, and you'd be unable.
Agreed upon. The Prophet ﷺ explained to them why...
he had not come out that night.
Likewise, one should care for his companions' hearts.
If he does something and, by signs, fears it affected his companions' hearts.
Then he should apologize to them and explain his reason.
The Prophet ﷺ was very humble with his companions.
He would sit among his companions.
Then a stranger would come and not know.
Which of them was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
And he would work alongside his companions.
He carried dirt with his companions in the trench and in building the mosque.
He ﷺ even did so on the day of the trench.
He kept carrying dirt until it covered his belly or made it dusty.
Anas ibn Malik (RA) said.
The Prophet ﷺ used to mingle with us a great deal.
He would say to my little brother, "O Abu 'Umayr, what of the nughayr?"
Narrated by al-Bukhari. In a report in both Sahihs, Anas said.
The Prophet ﷺ had the best character of all people.
And I had a little brother called Abu 'Umayr.
Whenever he came, he would say, "O Abu 'Umayr, what of the nughayr?"
It was a little bird he played with often.
That is, the Prophet ﷺ would even mingle with small children.
He ﷺ would address them and talk with them.
He ﷺ also shared his food with his companions.
Jabir ibn Abdullah said I was sitting in my house.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by me and gestured to me.
So I got up and went to him. He took my hand, and we set off.
until he came to one of his wives' rooms and entered.
Then he gave me permission, and I entered.
He said, "Is there any lunch?" They said, "Yes."
Then three loaves were brought and set down.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a loaf and set it before him.
He took another loaf and set it before me.
Then he took the third and split it. He placed half before him.
and placed the other half before me. Then he asked, "Any condiment?"
They said, "No, only some vinegar." He said, "Bring it."
"What an excellent condiment it is." Muslim narrated it in the Sahih.
Jabir ibn Abdullah RA reported: When the Trench was being dug.
"I saw the Prophet ﷺ suffering severe hunger, intense hunger."
So I went back to my wife and said, "Do you have anything?"
"For I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ suffering severe hunger."
He said: She brought out for me a bag with a sa' of barley.
We had a domestic animal, so I slaughtered it and ground the barley.
When I was done, I cut it up and put it in the pot.
Then I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said.
Do not embarrass me before Allah's Messenger ﷺ and those with him.
Don't bring everyone; what we have won't be enough. Don't shame us.
He said: I spoke to him privately. O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I made you food.
I said, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we slaughtered an animal and ground a sa'.
of barley that we had. So come, you and a few men with you.
Then the Prophet ﷺ called out.
"O people of the Trench!"
"Jabir has prepared a meal; come along!"
Then he ﷺ said to him.
"Do not take your pot off the fire or bake your dough till I come."
So I came, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, leading the people.
Till I came to my wife, who said, "It's because of you, because of you!"
Meaning, "You have exposed me; what I have is not enough."
"You brought the people to me." I said, "I did what you said."
"I did not invite the people. I only did what you said."
So I brought him some dough. He spat into it and blessed it.
Then he went to our pot, spat in it, blessed it, and said.
"Call the baker, and let her bake with me."
"Keep ladling from your pot; do not take it down." There were 1,000.
I swear by Allah, they ate until they left it and went away.
And our pot was still bubbling, as full as it had been.
And our dough was still being baked just as it was. Agreed upon.
The Prophet ﷺ loved his companions to share his food. This is good company.
In fact, it was narrated from Anas RA:
A neighbor of the Prophet ﷺ was Persian, and a fine man.
He made broth for the Prophet ﷺ. Then he came to invite him.
The Prophet ﷺ said, "And this is for Aisha too?"
He said, "No." The Prophet ﷺ said, "No."
He said, "And Aisha too?" He said, "No."
He ﷺ said, "No, I will not come."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No." So he went back and invited him again.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: "And this one?" He replied: No.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No." Then he went back and invited him again.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: "And this one?" He replied: Yes.
He said: They both rose, jostling, until they reached his home.
Muslim narrated it in his Sahih.
The Prophet ﷺ wanted our mother Aisha (RA) to share his meal.
I will end with this, though we have not finished. It is enough, Allah willing.
The Prophet ﷺ protected his companions' honor.
This is one of the greatest rights of companionship:
to protect one's companions' honor.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri RA reported.
The Prophet ﷺ said. "Do not revile my Companions."
"If one of you spent gold like Uhud."
"it would not reach a mudd of one of them, nor half of it."
Reported by al-Bukhari. And in Muslim, Allah's Messenger ﷺ said:
"Do not revile my Companions." "Do not revile my Companions."
"By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if one of you spent gold like Uhud."
"he would not attain a mudd of one of them, nor even half of it."
In Muslim, Abu Sa'id RA reported.
There was an issue between Khalid ibn al-Walid and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf.
Khalid insulted him, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not revile my Companions."
"If one of you spent gold like Mt. Uhud, it'd not equal a mudd or half."
Ibn Mas'ud (RA) climbed a tree.
The Prophet ﷺ told him to come and bring him a siwak from the tree.
His companions looked at Ibn Mas'ud's leg as he climbed the tree.
They laughed at how thin his legs were. He was very skinny.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said.
"Why are you laughing at Abdullah's legs?"
"Abdullah's legs will weigh heavier on the Scale than Mount Uhud that Day."
Reported by Ahmad in al-Sahih.
So the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to protect his Companions' honor.
Likewise, one should defend friends' honor. O brothers and sisters.
Dealing with family and friends is indispensable.
Life will not be pleasant until we return to sound Sharia principles.
And establish them among ourselves and make them our way in life.
I have tried, as much as possible, to gather what I could.
From the scholars' words and shape it suitably.
And gather whatever hadiths I could that bring meanings closer to minds.
And I ask Allah ﷻ to place blessing in what we presented.
As I promised, Allah willing, I will review the talk and complete it.
Because much of what I write is only in shorthand.
so I do not forget. And if
Allah wills, I will mention the sources for scholars' quotes.
And that will be a written text sent to you through the brothers.
Allah ﷻ willing.
In closing, I advise myself and my brothers to fear Allah ﷻ.
Be keen on seeking knowledge and do not tire or grow lazy.
Knowledge is not gained by one who tires, nor by one who is lazy.
Whoever chooses comfort gets comfort.
Whoever clings to the pillow will not reach the ranks of the masters.
Whoever greatly exhausts himself in seeking knowledge gains but little.
But whoever inclines to comfort remains in the darkness of ignorance.
So I advise my brothers to be active, show drive, and cooperate.
and to cooperate in seeking knowledge. Fear Allah for your country, brothers.
Establish Allah's religion. Do not let this world distract you.
Do not let people's new affairs today distract you from your religion.
Do not forget your share of this world. But preserve Allah's religion.
Preserve Allah's religion in yourselves. Preserve tawhid.
Preserve the Sunnah. Preserve Allah's religion in your homes.
Preserve Allah's religion with your families and with your companions.
Fear Allah concerning character. Uphold it; do not break it.
Fear Allah regarding the good customs of your fathers and grandfathers.
If they do not oppose Allah's religion, hold to them; teach and pass them on.
Protect your land and your blessings.
Do not surrender your ears and hearts to those who toy with them.
If you find a man turning you away from your Muslim ruler.
Whether openly or secretly, know that he is a man of evil.
Beware of him. Guard against him, and warn your family against him.
I ask Allah ﷻ to accept from everyone.
And make us all keys to good, locks against evil.
O Allah, preserve the good of the UAE.
O Allah, increase its goodness. Keep evil and evildoers away from it.
Lord of the worlds. O Allah, guide its people to every good.
O Allah, our Lord, O Ever-Living, O Sustainer.
We ask You by Your most beautiful names and Your loftiest attributes.
to place in this land what You love and find pleasing.
O Allah, place in this land what You love and find pleasing.
O Allah, place in this land what You love and find pleasing.
O Allah, our Lord, Muslim men and women have set aside time.
out of their schedules and attended the sessions of this course.
O Allah, fill their hearts with goodness.
Fill their hearts with happiness. Fill their hearts with tranquility.
Fill their homes with happiness. Keep every evil away from them.
Protect them from every evildoer, Lord of the worlds.
O Allah, our Lord, O Ever-Living, O Sustainer.
Increase the people of the Emirates in harmony, and strengthen their unity.
O Allah, our Lord, increase ties between Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
In goodness, strength, and unity, Lord of the worlds.
O Allah, spare everyone from the evil of trials, open and hidden.
And keep every instigator away from us, Lord of the worlds.
Allah ﷻ Most High knows best. Bless and grant peace to our Prophet ﷺ.
Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
